In this unit we will talk about different jobs and professions. Some people work in offices, others in shops, hospitals or schools. But there are also people who work “on duty”: they protect, help or serve others. Firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, lifeguards and soldiers are examples of people who are always ready to act.
Their jobs are sometimes dangerous but also very important for society. In this unit you will learn vocabulary about jobs, read and talk about duties and responsibilities and discuss what makes a job valuable or difficult.
On the basis of money, social status, skills and talents needed or other?
Which are the most important factors for your choice? Why?
